While we are so excited to be married in Pulga, we know that rustic outdoor adventures simply aren't for everyone. Please read on so you know what to expect:
What will you find in pulga?
- A private "town" where everyone there is friends and family of Matthew & Tessa
- The Feather River, with a private cove for swimming
- Hiking trails to waterfalls
- Hot springs and the historic town of Quincy just a short drive away
- An incredible view of the night sky
- Cabana tents, camping sites and (a few, limited) parking spots for your RV or camper van
- Several outdoor kitchens, although most meals will be provided
- Running water & electricity
- Outhouses
- Several outdoor baths or shared shower houses
- A train without fencing; please consider this before bringing dogs or children
What won't you find in pulga?
- Traditional hotels or lodging. While the town of Pulga has several homes with beds, those have been assigned to certain members of the wedding party. If you are one of these people, we have contacted you directly.
- Market or store of any kind
- Gas station
- Cellphone service
- Toilets with plumbing. Pulga runs on a natural septic system that cannot accommodate several hundred people
- Personal showers, although there will be shower houses (where you can shower privately), dressing areas with mirrors, and electricity
- Complete quiet. Pulga is at the base of a canyon and sound travels
- Light pollution
